Jakarta – Movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) turned green after presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, attended Trimegah event regarding ‘Political and Economic Outlook 2024′ on Wednesday (31/1).
Prabowo presented his detailed presentation in front of investors about the planned economic programs if he receives a mandate from the public. After that, the stocks immediately rose by 0.27%.
“Alhamdulillah, after Mr. Prabowo’s speech, the capital market increased by 0.27%. Today the market is positive. Hopefully, this can be the foundation for Indonesia Maju,” said Chief Economist and Head Of Fixed Income Research PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk, Fakhrul Fulvian in Jakarta, Wednesday during the event.
On that day, IHSG closed in the green zone with an increase of 15.72 points or 0.22% to the level of 7,207.94 in trading with a range of movements that occurred between 7,192-7,2247.
Also, on Thursday morning, IHSG again strengthened at the opening of trading. Recorded at 09.00 WIB, IHSG opened at the position of 7,211 and soared to a peak position of 7,223 shortly after the opening.
On Thursday afternoon, IHSG closed at the level of 7,201. The stock index was at 6.24 points or minus 0.09% from the previous trading. There were 219 stocks that rose, 297 corrected, and 236 stagnated.
In his presentation at the Trimegah event last Wednesday, Prabowo said the free lunch and milk program for school children would absorb local farmers’ harvest. According to Prabowo, the program will be a stimulus for the local economy, especially increasing demand for foodstuffs in the domestic market, such as rice, vegetables, fruits, and milk.
With the presence of a free lunch and milk program to be implemented in each province in Indonesia, Prabowo is confident that the strengthening of the domestic market will be guaranteed in all regions, both in villages and districts to regencies.
“The market will be guaranteed, there will be a captivated market in every village, in every district, regency, and province,” said Prabowo.
Therefore, Prabowo is determined to maximize food and energy self-sufficiency to create national economic stability.
“The biggest contribution of a political leader is to be able to create peace, because with that, a positive climate is created. The minimum target for economic growth is 8%,” he said.
In the past few days, several survey institutions have released that the electability of the Prabowo-Gibran pair has reached over 50%. For example, in the SPIN survey, Prabowo-Gibran’s electability reached 50.9%, almost twice that of their rivals. The electability of the pair number 2, Prabowo-Gibran, also reached 51.1% in the indEX survey.
Meanwhile, the LSI Denny JA survey shows that the electability of the pair number 2 has reached 50.7%.
“So the electability has passed the magic number for one round, which is at 50.7%,” said LSI Denny JA researcher Adjie Faraby in a press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/1). (SENOPATI)
