Pacitan – Prabowo Subianto, the presidential candidate number 2, visited the 6th President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), in Pacitan, East Java, on Saturday (17/2).
Upon arriving at the Museum and Gallery SBY Ani, Prabowo was warmly welcomed by SBY and his two sons, the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), and the Vice Chairman of the Democratic Party, Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (Ibas).
“I am honored to be received by the 6th President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Once a senior always a senior,” said Prabowo as he got out of the car, then shook hands and embraced SBY.
During the meeting, Prabowo expressed his reason for coming to Pacitan, which was to pay his respects and thank SBY for his support in the 2024 presidential election, which has led to the current lead in the vote count.
“I came (to SBY), especially as a junior. I thank him for his support. In essence, I came here just to pay my respects and thank my senior,” said Prabowo.
In addition, he mentioned that in his morning meeting with SBY, they discussed various matters related to the plans for the interests and future of the Indonesian people.
“Our commitment is always to serve and devote ourselves to the people. I consulted with him on many things,” said Prabowo.
“Now, he is my commander,” said SBY, which was followed by laughter from the relatives present.
Prabowo also received congratulations from the entire SBY family who were present, such as Annisa Pohan and Siti Ruby Aliya Rajasa, for Prabowo’s lead in the vote count along with vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election. (SENOPATI)
