Bogor — Prabowo Subianto, the President-elect and Chairman of Gerindra Party, gave a message to all Gerindra Party members who were elected to the House of Representatives (DPR) for the 2024-2029 term at the Garuda Yaksa Hall in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Monday (September 23).
In his speech, Prabowo reminded the party members to always stay loyal to the Indonesian nation and state. He also promised his unwavering dedication to protect the people, even if it means sacrificing his life.
“My life, my pledge—I am willing to die for the truth, I am willing to die defending my people,” Prabowo firmly stated.
“I am ready to die defending the underprivileged, I am ready to die defending the honor of the Indonesian nation, I have no hesitation,” he added.
During the two-day Educational and Training Briefing (Diklat), specifically organized for the newly elected DPR members from the Gerindra Party for the 2024-2029 term, Prabowo highlighted the importance of serving the nation and the people with integrity.
“Remember, serving and working for our people is a noble path. We are on the right course. We stand tall. Our loyalty is to the people. To our nation,” he emphasized.
Out of the 18 political parties that took part in the 2024 General Election, the General Elections Commission (KPU) confirmed that eight parties met the 4 percent parliamentary threshold. According to the recapitulation results, Gerindra secured 86 seats in the DPR. (RR)
