During his official visit to Saudi Arabia on July 1, 2025, President Prabowo Subianto received a warm welcome from Indonesian elementary school children residing in Jeddah. The atmosphere in the hotel lobby where the reception took place was filled with excitement as the children waved flags and cheered, “Welcome, Mr. President!” President Prabowo, known for his warm and engaging demeanor, took the time to interact with the children, exchanging smiles and posing for photos. One student, Arsad Hanfana Al-Syarabi, proudly introduced himself as the child of Indonesian Embassy staff in Jeddah. Before continuing his visit, President Prabowo shared a heartfelt message with the children, encouraging them to focus on their studies.
The encounter was not only impactful for the children but also for the Indonesian community in Jeddah, including Hanif Hasanuddin from the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM). Expressing appreciation for the President’s visit, Hanif expressed optimism for Indonesia’s future. Accompanied by high-ranking Indonesian officials, President Prabowo’s visit served to strengthen ties with the Indonesian community abroad. More than just a diplomatic mission, the visit left a lasting impression on the young generation in Saudi Arabia, inspiring them with a sense of connection to their homeland and its leaders.
