President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his support for Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s initiative to bring hundreds of Brazilian entrepreneurs to Indonesia. This announcement came after a productive bilateral meeting between the two leaders at Palácio do Planalto in Brasília on July 9. Prabowo warmly welcomed the plan, highlighting the potential to enhance cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of trade and investment. He emphasized the importance of translating cooperation agreements into tangible results and acknowledged the shared common interests and resources between Indonesia and Brazil. Prabowo also admired Brazil’s progress in agriculture and bioenergy, expressing Indonesia’s eagerness to learn from their advancements. Additionally, he appreciated Lula’s support for Indonesia’s plan to send technical teams to study Brazil’s innovations. The President was in Brazil to attend the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro and discussed Lula’s upcoming visit to Indonesia in October, where a special celebration will be prepared for his 80th birthday.
