President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, emphasized the importance of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) as the “child of the people” during the Operational Troop Review and Military Honors Ceremony. He highlighted the readiness of the TNI to sacrifice their lives in defense of the nation and its people. Prabowo underlined that the TNI is born from the people, serves the people, and is prepared to die for the people.
Furthermore, he urged newly appointed commanders to lead with integrity and treat their soldiers like their own children. He emphasized the TNI’s role as the front line in defending Indonesia and the importance of total people’s defense. During the ceremony, Prabowo conferred honorary ranks and medals to deserving recipients for their dedication and high integrity. The event also marked the establishment of new TNI units and the review of personnel and tactical vehicles.
