Minister of Defense and President-elect for the term 2024-2029, Prabowo Subianto, observed the Eid al-Adha 1445 H prayer at the Nurul Wathan Mosque in Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, Bogor, West Java. Dressed in a white koko shirt and a black peci, Prabowo greeted the locals before performing the prayer at 07:00 WIB. After the prayer, he interacted with the residents, who expressed their well-wishes for Eid al-Adha. Children were eager to take photos with Prabowo and addressed him with respect. Prabowo, in turn, hugged and kissed the children as a gesture of affection.
On this Eid al-Adha, Prabowo drew inspiration from the stories of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail, highlighting the importance of sacrifice and sharing meat with those in need for their well-being. In line with this, he sacrificed 145 cows, distributing them to various organizations and communities. A total of 89 cows were given to religious figures, Islamic institutions, and mosque councils, while 38 cows were shared with the local community. Additionally, 20 cows and 5 goats were provided at the Gerindra Party headquarters.
