Prabowo Subianto, the President-elect of Indonesia for the term 2024-2029, wasted no time in getting back to work just a week after undergoing surgery for a leg injury. He made an appearance at the 78th anniversary of Bhayangkara at Monas, Jakarta, on Monday (July 1), where he was welcomed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and other dignitaries.
Dressed in a gray suit, Prabowo greeted Jokowi with a salute and received applause from the attendees. Earlier, he had announced the success of his operation on his Instagram account @prabowo, expressing his readiness to serve the country.
Prabowo’s injury stemmed from two parachuting accidents during his time in the Indonesian National Armed Forces. He thanked Allah SWT and the medical team at the National Defense Central Hospital in South Jakarta for their care.
Acknowledging the risks involved in the procedure, Prabowo emphasized his commitment to the country and expressed gratitude to Jokowi for his support during the surgery.
