Jakarta — Mardiono, the Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP), has stated his commitment to supporting the upcoming administration of President and Vice President-elect Prabowo-Gibran for the term 2024-2029.
This commitment was conveyed directly to Prabowo during a political courtesy visit at his residence on Jl. Kertanegara No. 4, South Jakarta, on Thursday evening (15/8).
“PPP has a sole purpose of supporting the elected President Mr. Prabowo Subianto to carry out the awaited work programs for the welfare of the Indonesian people,” Mardiono said after the meeting.
“Therefore, PPP is dedicated to backing the new President, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, in leading the government,” he added.
Furthermore, Mardiono also affirmed his support for local elections at the provincial and municipal levels.
“We have a commitment with the Gerindra Party to cooperate in local elections at the provincial and municipal levels, starting from the nomination processes,” Mardiono concluded.
Mardiono and the PPP delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm reception during their brief political courtesy visit.
“We appreciate the hospitality extended to us at the residence of the President-elect, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, for this meeting,” Mardiono said.
