Bogor — A father of a graduate from the “Ben Mboi” Polytechnic of the Defense University (Unhan RI) in Belu, East Nusa Tenggara, expressed his gratitude towards Indonesia’s Defense Minister, Prabowo Subianto, for covering his travel expenses to Jakarta to attend his daughter’s graduation on Saturday, August 24.
During the interaction, Prabowo asked Yohanes, the father of graduate Rosalia Virginia Linda, whether the graduate was his daughter or son.
After the ceremony, Prabowo took the time to greet and shake hands with the parents of the graduates, including Yohanes, who thanked Prabowo for the free education provided at Unhan RI, a program initiated by the Defense Minister.
Yohanes expressed his gratitude for the education provided at Unhan and for funding their trip to Jakarta to witness their child’s graduation, saying, “Thank you to Mr. Prabowo for organizing education at Unhan and also for sponsoring our trip to Jakarta. Once again, thank you to Mr. Prabowo. Long live the defense of the nation,”
The graduation ceremony today at Unhan celebrated the graduation of 425 students, offering 12 undergraduate (S1) programs and 7 diploma (D3) programs, focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) competencies. (RR)
