Presiden Ingin Ilmuwan Indonesia Berkolaborasi Global

Deputy for Dissemination and Media Affairs at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), Noudhy Valdryno, highlighted President Prabowo Subianto’s dedication to enhancing the role of Indonesian scientists globally. President Prabowo envisions a stronger cooperation between Indonesian researchers and international scientists to propel Indonesia towards becoming a developed nation. Noudhy emphasized the importance of scientists being more visible in the public sphere to support the government’s goal of achieving 8 percent economic growth in the next five years.

This commitment is in line with the Asta Cita, particularly focusing on human resource development, science, technology, education, health, sports achievements, gender equality, and empowering women, youth, and persons with disabilities. To further support scientific progress, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) is hosting the 2025 Indonesian Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI) at Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), West Java from August 7 to 9.

Minister Brian Yuliarto described the convention as a crucial platform for bringing together the nation’s leading scientific minds, especially in STEM fields, to advance the country. With the theme “Science and Technology for Economic Growth and Equity,” KSTI 2025 aims to foster collaboration among academia, industry, government, media, and civil society to accelerate Indonesia’s transition to a high-value-added industrial economy. The event has attracted over 2,000 scientists nationwide, marking it as a strategic initiative towards scientific advancement.
