President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, recently appointed General Tandyo Budi as Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). In addition, he also inaugurated six new Regional Military Command (Kodam) commanders, 20 brigade commanders, and 100 Territorial Development Battalions. During the ceremony, Prabowo honored soldiers with the Bintang Sakti Medal for their outstanding integrity. He emphasized the importance of commanders leading by example, stating that they should always be at the forefront, especially in dangerous situations. Prabowo highlighted the role of military leaders in protecting their troops and urged them to care for and train their subordinates as they would their own children. He concluded by reminding everyone of the TNI’s identity and mission as the people’s army, born to serve, defend, and if necessary, sacrifice for the people.
