Prabowo Welcomes Peruvian President, Students Join Festivities

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, warmly received Peruvian President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The state ceremony was made even more festive with the participation of approximately 3,000 students from various schools in the capital city. President Boluarte arrived at the palace in a grand motorcade, accompanied by motorcycle troops and mounted guards. Upon arrival, she was personally greeted by President Prabowo, and together they stood on the ceremonial podium while the national anthems of both Peru and Indonesia were played. Following this, they inspected the honor guard and paid their respects to their respective national flags. The two leaders then introduced their official delegations, with Prabowo accompanied by several key ministers.

The bilateral meeting between President Prabowo and President Boluarte aimed to enhance the relationship between Indonesia and Peru. Both countries are members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), a platform for economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. This meeting comes as a reciprocal gesture following President Prabowo’s visit to Peru the previous year, highlighting the continuous diplomatic exchange between the two nations.
