Jakarta — Prabowo Subianto, the President-elect for the 2024-2029 period, expressed his appreciation to the Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) for their support and dedication to the upcoming government.
Prabowo conveyed his gratitude during the PBNU Halal Bihalal 1445 H event held at the PBNU Central Building, Jl. Kramat Raya No. 164, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (28/4).
He emphasized that the challenges ahead for Indonesia are complex and require strong commitment and collaboration, including with PBNU.
“The challenges we face are becoming increasingly difficult. With President Jokowi inviting me to be part of his administration, I have been actively involved in discussions and decisions. The government’s responsibility to earn the people’s trust and work for the benefit of all Indonesians is crucial,” Prabowo stated.
“Although the people have chosen the Prabowo-Gibran team, we understand that solving the nation’s issues cannot be done by just two individuals. Therefore, the participation of PBNU members and other inclusive Islamic organizations is vital in working together,” he continued.
Prabowo stressed the importance of unity among all sectors to protect the nation and its wealth for the benefit of the Indonesian people.
“Our main duty is to safeguard Indonesia’s resources for the benefit of all citizens. President Jokowi’s strategy provides a solid foundation, which we will continue to build upon,” Prabowo concluded.
