Jakarta – A significant moment took place when President-elect for the 2024-2029 term, Prabowo Subianto, met with NasDem Party Chairman, Surya Paloh, at Prabowo’s residence on Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Thursday (April 25).
During their meeting, the two exchanged handshakes, and witnesses present exclaimed “official!” This scene unfolded as Prabowo and Surya engaged in conversation in one of the rooms at Prabowo’s residence.
Prabowo, wearing batik clothing, also put his arm around Surya’s shoulder. Both of them displayed broad smiles and cheerful faces.
Following the meeting, Surya, dressed in a blue suit, officially announced NasDem’s support for Prabowo-Gibran. He reassured that his party stands behind the new government under their leadership.
“Therefore, with the spirit, enthusiasm, sincerity of heart, and great soul, NasDem today declares and reaffirms its support for the new government under the leadership of Prabowo-Gibran,” stated Surya Paloh.
Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the support from Surya Paloh, emphasizing the importance of all forces uniting to advance Indonesia.
“The strongest force that can come together for the people in the midst of global dynamics is eagerly awaited,” he remarked.
“Thank you, Mr. Surya, thank you NasDem, we are delighted to have you with us,” Prabowo added.
