Jakarta – President-elect for the term 2024-2029, Prabowo Subianto, attended the Technical Training and National Coordination Meeting of the Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN).
In his remarks, Prabowo praised President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as a sincere leader. He appreciated Jokowi’s willingness to assist him despite being rivals in the 2014 and 2019 presidential elections.
The event, held at JW Luwansa, South Jakarta, on Thursday night (9/5), was attended by all elected candidates and regional head candidates with the aim of consolidating and coordinating all political forces for the upcoming local elections.
‘I am thankful to Mr. Jokowi, he is truly a sincere leader. He has supported me,’ he stated.
Prabowo also expressed gratitude for Jokowi’s assistance in providing data to support Prabowo’s future government responsibilities.
He shared how Jokowi had advised him to introduce himself to world leaders.
‘He instructed all ministers to provide data to me. He also guided me, “Visit this place, meet this leader, introduce yourself to that leader,”’ Prabowo recalled Jokowi’s instructions.
Jokowi also emphasized the importance of foreign investments for economic growth.
‘Investments are essential for economic growth. We need investments to establish more factories in Indonesia, creating more job opportunities for our people,’ Prabowo emphasized.
‘I dedicate most of my time to learning and analyzing various issues,’ he further added.”
