Jakarta – Hasan Nasbi, a member of the Prabowo-Gibran Synchronization Task Force in the Communication Field, emphasized that the rumor regarding the budget per person for free nutritious meals for students in schools being cut to Rp 7,500 per child is just an unofficial issue and not from the team.
The issue was initially raised by economist Verdhana Sekuritas, Heriyanto Irawan. Heriyanto claimed to have discussed with the Prabowo team about free nutritious meals.
“That is just a statement or maybe an idea from the economist. It is not an official statement from the team,” Hasan told reporters on Friday (19/7).
Hasan said the main focus of President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka is to provide nutritious meals according to standard nutritional adequacy.
“So the measurement is nutritional adequacy. Nutritional adequacy is determined by nutrition experts,” he explained.
Regarding the price per child, according to Hasan, there are currently many ideas and suggestions from various parties to the team that are still being studied in detail and the specific amount has not been determined yet.
“Everything is being studied and tested in great detail by the Expert Council. So far, there is no specific number set as a benchmark, as our benchmark is nutritional adequacy,” he said.
Hasan explained that different regions in Indonesia have diverse sources of nutrition, so each region has different local menus. The fulfillment of nutritional standards will be adjusted to the availability of food ingredients with these local menus.
“In various regions, to meet nutritional standards, the types of menus vary. According to the availability of food ingredients and types of local menus in each place. From the price point of view, it will also vary in value,” he explained.
Previously, Gibran also spoke up regarding the rumor of reducing the budget for free nutritious meals to Rp 7,500 per child. He asked all parties not to spread information that is not yet certain.
“Who said that, let’s wait for the certainty first,” Gibran said on Thursday (18/7).
“Wait for it, don’t spread information that is not yet certain,” he added.
Gibran also mentioned that the trial for free nutritious meals has been using a budget of Rp 15,000 per person.
“The trial has been using Rp 15,000. Just wait for the certainty,” he said.
