Jakarta – Prabowo Subianto, the Minister of Defense, said goodbye to the leadership and members of Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR) in a meeting at the DPR building in Jakarta on Wednesday (September 25).
“I also seek forgiveness if, during my five years as defense minister, I have done anything that may have let you down,” Prabowo stated.
He stressed that everything he has done as defense minister has been aimed at protecting the interests and sovereignty of Indonesia.
Simultaneously, Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the dedication of the leadership and members of Commission I, looking forward to continued cooperation in nation and state building in the future.
“With that, I bid you farewell. On behalf of the entire Ministry of Defense, we say goodbye. We commend and appreciate your service, and I hope we can keep collaborating for our nation and country,” he added.
Prabowo is confident that the strong cooperation between the government and the legislative branch lays a solid foundation to tackle upcoming challenges, with the ultimate aim of ensuring the safety and welfare of the Indonesian people.
“Greater responsibilities are ahead of us all. Thank you, may God bless your service. And may Indonesia remain strong and prosperous,” Prabowo concluded. (RR)
