Jakarta — Ujang Komaruddin, a political analyst, sees a positive beginning in the transition period as President-elect Prabowo Subianto prepares to take office on October 20, 2024. Ujang is optimistic about Prabowo’s leadership and the broad support he has received from various groups, as indicated by the latest Indikator Politik survey, which shows that 83.4% of the public has confidence in Prabowo’s upcoming administration.
“I have always believed that Prabowo’s leadership would be supported by the public. The survey results reflect this belief, with 83.4% of the public expressing confidence in Prabowo’s future government. This is a promising start that showcases the trust of the Indonesian people in Prabowo’s ability to lead the country towards a brighter future in the next five years,” Ujang told reporters on Monday (October 7).
According to Indikator data, 84.3% of respondents feel confident or highly confident that Prabowo will bring about positive changes in Indonesia compared to the current administration.
Ujang attributed this strong public belief to several factors, including Prabowo’s sincerity and determination to elevate Indonesia’s standing, both domestically and internationally.
“Prabowo’s genuine commitment to nation-building, his efforts to enhance the country, and his vision to position Indonesia as a key player on the global stage have earned him the trust of the public,” Ujang explained.
He also predicted that this positive momentum would pave the way for Prabowo’s administration to effectively carry out its duties once in power.
“Prabowo has the capability to lead Indonesia towards a fair, prosperous, and progressive future that surpasses the achievements of the previous administration,” Ujang continued.
Consequently, the public believes that Prabowo will prioritize the welfare of the people and steer the country towards a better future.
“This initial show of support for Prabowo strengthens his determination to collaborate with the people in constructing a just and prosperous Indonesia,” Ujang concluded. (RR)
