Jakarta – In anticipation of the match between the Indonesian U-23 National Team and the South Korean U-23 National Team in the U-23 Asian Cup, Prabowo Subianto, the president-elect for the 2024-2029 term, has urged the Indonesian public to pray for Indonesia’s success in winning the game.
When asked about his score prediction, he stressed the significance of Indonesia emerging victorious against South Korea.
“The most important thing is to win,” stated Prabowo on Thursday (April 25) after meeting with NasDem Chairman Surya Paloh at his residence.
The match between the Indonesian U-23 and South Korean U-23 teams is set to take place at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha, Qatar, on Friday, April 26, 2024.
Prior to this, the Indonesian U-23 team achieved a historic milestone by reaching the quarterfinals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup following a 4-1 victory over Jordan U-23. This success marks their first appearance in the U-23 Asian Cup.
On Wednesday, Prabowo also offered prayers for Indonesia’s triumph against South Korea.
“Tomorrow (early Friday morning), our national team, the U-23s, in Doha will compete against South Korea. We pray for our national team. This is extremely important,” expressed Prabowo during a press conference at the PKB headquarters in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (April 24).
